Black Friday Madness!
What have we become? Is saving 30% really worth what happened in a Long Island Wal-Mart? I just don’t understand how all the hassle is worth what people go through to get the next best thing, or to save a few dollars on the next best thing.
Black Friday has been properly named though. Black representing a bad day. One of which a sane person should stay home, relax, digest Thanksgiving dinner and read the ridiculous articles of how crazed shoppers stayed out all night in the freezing cold so they could be the first to by the next Elmo, or whatever it is this year.
We definitely have been blessed with plenty. May God please have mercy upon us and continue to bless our Country.

It’s about time….People stood up for Thanksgiving.
A great read. Maybe there is a little bit of hope in California. I’m glad someone finally stood up the the elitists trying to take away our holidays.

Are you kidding me? “Who’s in charge right now?” It seems the only people not sure are the ones who just can’t wait for Obama to be sworn in. Of course the President is the President until January 20 no matter who it is. Can you imagine in 4 years if Obama is elected out and the conservative media saying the same things. The Obasms just continue to get stronger.

Unions and Hookers.
I was reading at glennbeck.com about how he has had to deal with unions and all their crazy rules. So I googled crazy union rules to see what kind of crazy rules they really have. I came across the following at http://callhart.com/crazy/2007/04/union-rules-hookers/.

A dedicated Teamsters union worker was attending a convention in Las Vegas and decided to check out the local brothels. When he got to the first one, he asked the Madam,
Is this a union house?”
Well, if I pay you $100, what cut do the girls get?”
“The house gets $80 and the girls get $20,” she answered
Offended at such unfair dealings, the union man stomped off down the street in search of a more equitable, hopefully unionized shop. His search continued until finally he
reached a brothel where the Madam responded, “Why yes sir, this is a union house. We observe all union rules.”
The man asked, “And if I pay you $100, what cut do the girls get?” “The girls get $80 and the house gets $20.” “That’s more like it!” the union man said.
He handed the Madam $100, looked around the room, and pointed to a stunningly attractive blonde.
“I’d like her,” he said.
“I’m sure you would, sir,” said the Madam.
Then she gestured to a 92-year old woman in the corner, “but Ethel here has 67 years seniority and according to union rules, she’s next.”

When will it end…
My question is, when will all this spending end? When is someone going to finally stand up and say enough is enough? Is there no one out there in a position of leadership with the courage to speak out against all this spending?
So the Washington Post had the following article talking about how another stimulus package could cost as much as $700 billion over the next two years.
Facing an increasingly ominous economic outlook, President-elect Barack Obama and other Democrats are rapidly ratcheting up plans for a massive fiscal stimulus program that could total as much as $700 billion over the next two years.
Even House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), whose aides have in recent weeks balked at suggestions that Democrats might spend as much as $300 billion, conceded yesterday on "Face the Nation" that the price of a stimulus package is likely to be "in the several hundred billion dollar category."
In other articles even President Elect Obama says the crisis will get worse before it gets better.
Of course it will. With all the spending and borrowing, America will need a bail out. This is when it gets scary because it will be at the mercy of which ever country will help us out. Moving closer and closer to socialism will be the least of our concerns at that time.
My solution. Halt spending and get back to basics. If we are to survive as a country, people will have to start making sacrifices. We have been living high off the hog too long. Too many are living in excess. So either we can choose to cut back on our own or we can let the government continue doing what it is doing and soon they will control our spending for us.
We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
It’s not the governments job to make sure everyone stays in business. It’s their job to provide for the common defense, insure domestic tranquility and PROMOTE general welfare. It’s in our constitution, it is what we were founded on and it is through those same principles that we will continue to survive and prosper.
